Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are required to participate in Physical Education every week. Students are given four points a day for participation (achievement) and citizenship. Student activities are created and based on the Arizona State Physical Education Standards.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students are required to participate in Physical Education every week. Students are given four points a day for participation (achievement) and citizenship. Student activities are created and based on the Arizona State Physical Education Standards.
If a student is ill, or unable to participate, they need to provide a note to their PE teacher, from either a guardian or doctor excusing them from physical activities. Illness or injury excuses for a week or more require a doctor's note.
Keeping your child safe is of utmost importance! In order to participate, students must wear rubber soled athletic shoes/sneakers that completely cover the top portion of their foot. Girls need to wear shorts under skirts.
Grading The grading rubric for Physical Education is as follows:
U/N - Performing below grade level
S - Performing at grade level
E - Performing above grade level
