Mrs. Coak

Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Alison Coak. Many families remember me as Ms. VandeBerg.

You will be amazed at just how much your child will grow this year. I am very excited to be a part of your child’s journey through Kindergarten.

A little more about me: I am a native of AZ and DVUSD. I grew up going to all DVUSD schools, including MRHS! I obtained my Master's degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I also have a Visual Communication degree and love to incorporate art and hands-on learning into many of my lessons. I believe in structured yet engaged learning (centers, rotations, and movement). I have two boys of my own who graduated from West Wing: an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old. I also have 3 step-children living with us. This will be my 16th year teaching, and I feel blessed every day that I teach Kindergarten.
