Mrs. Swingle

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Kathi Swingle, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year. Teaching is my true passion, a journey that began after I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Spanish. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to creating an enriching classroom environment, earning endorsements in Early Childhood, Gifted, and Structured English Immersion. My dedication to education has been honored with the Deer Valley Teacher of the Year award, a Disney Teacher of the Year nomination, and a Silver Apple Award nomination. After a rewarding six-year break to be a stay-at-home mom, I returned to the classroom in 2012 with even more enthusiasm. Thank you for entrusting me with your child this year; I am confident our days will be packed with growth, learning, and fun!
