WELCOME TO MUSIC AT WEST WING SCHOOL!

My Name is Mr. John Denton and I teach K-6 General Music, 5-8 Grade Chorus, Musical Theater, and Music Technology/Pop Music Lab.

I wear many hats at our school, district, and state level but the one I am most proud of is being a teacher to your children.

We treat music as a language at West Wing and while my mission is to keep students engaged and driven towards a love of music; our true goal is mastery and literacy of musical concepts.

By their eighth grade year they will have composed, improvised, transposed, performed, sung, drummed, strummed, and recorded in a number of interactive experiences with one ultimate goal...
